Cabernet Dore’ is a yellow gold grape.
A surprising offspring of two deep reds,
Cabernet Sauvignon and Norton, it
packs a bouquet worthy of the lineage.
It makes an excellent white wine
resembling a Sauvignon Blanc that has
been tamed with a bit of Semillion.
Soft finish and extremely pleasant
aftertaste. Tropical nose, pineapple,
occasional whiff of banana. Rothbrick
has one acre planted with anticipated
harvest 2013.
White grape hybrid, a cross of
Gewurztraminer and Joannes Seyve.
Produces excellent quaity wine with
distinct aroma of Gewurztraminer.
Traminette is suited to different wine
styles, including dry and sweet
versions . Aging well, wine produced
from this grape develops honey and
apricot flavors in two to five years.
The grape is fairly high acidity and
low pH which harmonizes with its
typical fresh fruit aromas and floral
spicy flavors.
ROTHBRICK estate vineyard was first started
in 2008 . We have 2600 vines comprised of 7
varietals. First harvest will be in 2012.
